H2ackathon: Shaping the future of hydrogen safety
The hydrogen transition is growing rapidly but how do we keep it safe? During this hackathon, you will work on real safety challenges together with experts.
The hydrogen transition is accelerating and safety is one of the key challenges. How do we ensure hydrogen can be used safely?
During the H2ackathon, you will work in teams on real safety challenges provided by companies in the hydrogen sector. You will explore solutions and learn how safety is approached in practice.
Throughout the day, you will be guided by experts from industry, fire safety specialists from Brandweer Rotterdam Rijnmond and social scientists. This combination helps you approach challenges from different perspectives.
The day concludes with a demonstration by the fire department, showing what can happen when things go wrong. This provides a real world perspective on hydrogen safety.
By participating, you gain practical experience, learn from experts and connect with others working on hydrogen.
The hackathon is open to participants from different backgrounds, including students, PhD candidates, engineers and policy professionals. Curiosity and collaboration are key.
