GVNL Young | Interactive session: from idea to market with OCTRO

On 20 February, we will host an interactive session in Utrecht featuring OCTRO: a hands-on patent and innovation game that takes participants from idea to market launch in under two hours.
OCTRO offers a practical and engaging way to explore the innovation process, intellectual property strategies, and the role of patent information in bringing new products to life. Participants work in teams, make strategic decisions, and experience how IP choices directly influence real-world outcomes.
During the game, you will navigate the full innovation process: exploring patent databases, selecting IP strategies, and making key decisions that determine the success of your fictional company. The lessons learned can be directly applied to strategic IP decision-making in real-life contexts.
🕒 Time: 14:00–17:00, followed by drinks

The session is open to GVNL Young members, researchers, students, lecturers, and anyone interested in innovation, patents, or strategy.
