We are harnessing knowledge to make the hydrogen transition happen
Partnering with a wide range of organisations and initiatives, we’re spearheading the Netherlands’ transition to hydrogen. Knowledge is an indispensable cornerstone in the transition. This is why we’re committed to sharing our expertise, together with that of our partners. Explore our summary of reports, memos, and studies.
HyUSE: research into the direct use of hydrogen
Currently, hydrogen serves mainly as a raw material for industrial processes, like refining and ammonia production. HyUSE provides a platform for research into the direct use of hydrogen, with the objective of investigating the feasibility of adopting hydrogen as a fuel.
HyTROS: applied research into transport and storage
The HyTROS project provides a platform for applied research into the transport and storage of hydrogen, while driving further development. Comprising thirty-two research and industry partners, HyTROS seeks to fast-track the scaling up of green hydrogen in the Netherlands.
HySUCCESS: researching the level of support for green hydrogen
HySUCCESS, a GroenvermogenNL project, explores the level of support for the hydrogen transition. Objective: to outline the socioeconomic factors shaping green hydrogen’s role in a renewable energy system.
HyPRO: research into risks and cost reduction
Supported by a €34.5 million grant and €15.7 million in private funding, HyPRO provides a platform for research focused on making hydrogen production more sustainable, by advancing electrolysis technology and plasma technology.
