Consultation on a new subsidy scheme for hydrogen hubs

A new subsidy scheme will support the development of hydrogen energy hubs (hydrogen hubs). The scheme is aimed at companies that want to decarbonise using hydrogen, even if connection to the national hydrogen network is not yet possible. The budget for this scheme is provided by GroenvermogenNL. Companies can provide input on the design of the scheme until 30 January 2026 through a public consultation organised by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) and the Ministry of Climate and Green Growth.

Launch of the International Hydrogen Guide:   Excelling in Hydrogen 

During the 2025 World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam, the latest edition of the international hydrogen guide Excelling in Hydrogen was officially launched. This annual English-language publication showcases how the Netherlands positions itself internationally as a frontrunner in the hydrogen transition. GroenvermogenNL is proud that two of the six highlighted flagship projects were made possible in part through funding from our programme.

Meet GroenvermogenNL at the World Hydrogen Summit 2025  

The World Hydrogen Summit in Rotterdam is the place to be for anyone interested in green hydrogen, to gain knowledge, find inspiration, and make valuable connections. GroenvermogenNL will once again be present in 2025. On Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, we’ll be at the NL Pavilion to meet with people who want to contribute to accelerating and scaling up green hydrogen. On May 22, two of our project partners will be present in the NL Pavilion.

GroenvermogenNL and Shell to explore the development of an open innovation centre for electrolysers in Emmen (NL)

A testing site for hydrogen electrolysers has been proposed at NAM’s former gas purification plant in Emmen [EmmHy on the GZI Next site]. Over the coming months, GroenvermogenNL and Shell will detail their plans and seek out collaborators. Extant structures and preconditions in Emmen look promising for a rapid start to the open innovation centre.
