The TSE Industry studies will open as of May 1, 2024.

The Top Sector Energy Industry Studies will open on May 1, 2024,: hydrogen and green chemistry (GroenvermogenNL). linked to the GroenvermogenNL programme. This initiative, as part of program line 2, allocates €10 million for feasibility research in hydrogen or green chemistry technologies to aid investment decisions.

Entrepreneurs interested in testing the feasibility of innovations or existing technologies and understanding what investment landscape is needed can benefit from this grant.

The topics of the TSE Industry studies: Hydrogen and green chemistry (GroenvermogenNL)

Grant proposals are invited for research on the following topics:

  • Transport and storage of hydrogen (carriers)
  • Application of hydrogen (carriers) and green electrons
  • Hydrogen production
  • Production of (components of) electrolyzers

There are three types of studies eligible for grants

  • Feasibility study: Primarily desk research to prepare for pilot projects. .
  • Environmental study: Preparation for demonstration projects or projects involving existing technologies, such as pre-engineering or parts of Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
  • VComparable study: Investigating the investment landscape for demonstration projects or projects involving existing technologies not covered by environmental study.

Feasibility study for investment decisions

The grant is specifically for feasibility research to inform investment decisions, not for research and development. Activities should be tailored to address feasibility questions, with a clear plan for subsequent innovation or scale-up projects.
