The Green Village is a test garden on the campus of TU Delft, in the built environment, with the main goal of accelerating sustainable innovations. This includes technical innovations, but also legislation and safety studies, so that it can be scaled up towards the market.

The Hydrohub MegaWatt Test Center in Groningen investigates modeling and the impact of variable usage on electrolyzer and network performance. In addition, optimal control strategies are developed to improve overall operational efficiency.

The Holst Centre in Eindhoven develops high-tech (production) solutions for the next generation of electrolysis stacks by leveraging its extensive background in thin-film technology and integration technologies.

TNO's Faraday laboratory in Petten is an open innovation lab that focuses on optimizing existing electrolysis technologies such as: PEM, alkaline, SOEC and AEM.

Labor market tightness and skills gap are major problems. Human Capital Agenda 2024-2029 addresses this. Focuses on training and development of professionals in the sector.

GroenvermogenNL asked Mott McDonald for a feasibility study on a testing facility for equipment in the higher TRL-phases with which green hydrogen can be produced. Based on the results of this study GroenvermogenNL will execute next steps towards realizing such a facility within a limited time frame.. Development of the business case for such a facility is an important part of the next steps.
