Kick-off HySUCCESS: National research consortium launched on non-technical factors of the green hydrogen transition

A broad consortium from the knowledge and business field will spend the next six years focusing on the socio-economic factors of a successful hydrogen transition. ‘Societal support and a favourable economic and legal climate are just as important as technical innovations,’ said Paulien Herder, board member of GroenvermogenNL.

R&D Consortium HyUSE has officially launched

On Friday, 11 October, a new R&D project from GroenvermogenNL was launched. In Utrecht, the HyUSE consortium kicked off a program in which 30 partners will conduct research over the next six years into the direct use of hydrogen as fuel for industry, heavy transport, and local energy systems.

New scheme for GroenvermogenNL: hydrogen and green electrons for carbon-based chemistry 

To make the chemical industry more sustainable, green hydrogen and green electrons are important in industrial processes. GroenvermogenNL has opened a new scheme to contribute to the scientific research needed for this sustainability. The scheme focuses on synthetic fuels, bulk chemicals, process heating, and process integration. A subsidy budget of €35.3 million is available for the call.

Launch of research project on green hydrogen production technologies the largest of its kind 

With 58 partners, a grant of over €34.5 million and a total budget of over €50 million, GroenvermogenNL's new HyPRO project is the largest R&D project into green hydrogen in the Netherlands to date. This R&D project was approved this week by the Dutch Research Council NWO. The consortium will research more sustainable production of hydrogen by improving electrolysis & plasma technology: “at the heart of the hydrogen revolution.”

New HySUCCESS consortium receives €13 million for socioeconomic research on the green hydrogen economy.

GroenvermogenNL, in partnership with NWO, has made available a €13 million grant to HySUCCESS. This consortium of parties from the knowledge field and business will conduct extensive research into the socioeconomic factors surrounding the transition to a green hydrogen economy

Information Session for new R&D grant: Hydrogen and green electrons for carbon-based chemistry [wp4]  

GroenvermogenNL together with NWO are organizing an information session for the upcoming call of Work Package 4 of GroenvermogenNL R&D: Hydrogen and green electrons for carbon-based chemistry. The session will take place during the GroeneWaterstofHuisNL Conference on Friday, September 27. Therefore it is an excellent chance to also connect with the wider hydrogen and green chemistry community in the Netherlands. The call is expected to be opened during the same period in September
