On the afternoon of Thursday 5 October 2023, Top Sector Energy will be holding its annual Working Conference, focusing on the National Plan for the Energy System (or NPE). The NPE has been drawn up by the Dutch cabinet and provides a clear roadmap for the energy system in 2050. The impact of this plan for innovation within the energy sector will be discussed during the conference.
The ‘Top Sector Energy’ is one of the three leading sectors that has helped to establish GroenvermogenNL.
The conference promises to be an afternoon of inspiration, with 32 speakers each sharing their own expertise and vision in the form of short presentations called Energy TALKS. Each presentation will be no more than 10 minutes long and cover various aspects of the NPE. After each round, two speakers will bundle their presentations and there will be an audience discussion to choose one innovation message to send to Rob Jetten, the minister responsible.
Rob Jetten, the Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate, will attend the conference and, together with Peter Molengraaf the standard bearer for Top Sector Energy, will collect and summarize all the messages collected at the end of the session.
The purpose of the Working Conference is to understand how innovators within the energy sector are dealing with the challenges posed by the NPE. How can we accelerate progress towards a future that remains unclear in so many ways? Hydrogen will play an important role as part of the solution.
The conference will offer a unique opportunity to share knowledge, generate new ideas and collaborate on innovation in the energy sector. It promises to be an inspiring and informative afternoon.
