At the start of June, the second and final workshop in Work Package 3 (WP3) of the R&D programme of GroenvermogenNL was completed successfully. By the end, over 30 representatives from knowledge institutions, the business community, and public organisations had drawn up a coherent and financially viable proposal. The consortium now has until 18 July to finalise and submit its proposal.

The aim of WP3 is for a consortium of parties to submit a single project proposal for innovation around the direct use of green hydrogen. To this end, they have taken part in two workshops, each lasting two and half days. The aim of the first workshop was to allow the participants get to know each other and the theme. By the end, a preliminary version of the project proposal had been drafted, and the parties then began working on a more detailed version.

Project plan consisting of four workflows

The second workshop was held from 30 May to 1 June. With the support of process specialists and experts in the field, the participants made the final key decisions. The consortium decided to focus on four workflows in its proposal: the industrial adoption of green hydrogen, mobility and local usage, system integration, and the socio-economic aspects of usage. The parties in the consortium are making progress towards tangible deliverables such as research projects, testing prototypes, and setting up digital twinning. The parties have also made agreements regarding the financial integrity of the project proposal.

Submitting the proposal

The consortium will submit its proposal by 18 July at the latest. An international, independent committee will assess the quality of the consortium and the project proposal. Funding of up to €14 million is available.
